I was born and raised in Tenerife, Canary Islands, but my first Bikram yoga class was in Madrid, where I was working as an art director in a publicity agency.
Right from that first class I could feel myself reseting emotionally and physically.
I had been suffering from stress and back pain due to a spinal disc herniation for a long time, but I could feel the relieve and watch it all fading away for good after only a few months of practice.
At that time, I was still surprised and humbled by the feeling, not knowing exactly what it meant. But after years of daily practice, experiencing my body and mind becoming stronger and more efficient every day, I realized I had found a new path for me and decided to change my life.
I attended the Bikram Yoga Teacher Training with Bikram Choudhury, founder of Bikram Yoga and I learned to improve the practice, how each body responds to the postures and how they work as a therapy for many different kind of conditions, as well as all the philosophy behind the practice. After it, I also attended to different yoga and pilates teacher trainings and workshops as a complement to share with my students.
As a formed teacher I’ve travelled to different studios across America, Europe and Asia teaching and working with people with very different physical and emotional conditions. And I also used these travels to keep learning from teachers as Juan Martín-Busutil, Adam Chipiuk and Lynn Whitlow.
